Week 3 - Baptism
Passage: Matthew 3:5–3:6
People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
Matthew 3: 5-6
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”
Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.”

WHY WAS JESUS BAPTIZED?
Jesus told the disciples, Go and make disciples (more disciples) of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
