Regret of ____Reaction __________.

Regrets reveal something _Broken____________________.

But it is the grace of the gospel, which is so hard for the pious to understand, that confronts us with the truth and says: You are a sinner, a great, desperate sinner; now come as the sinner you are, to the God who loves you.” – Bonhoeffer

Why is it difficult?

Thought Number One: We are scared of the thoughts of others

Thought Number Two: Misplaced Fear

Thought Number Three: We don't understand confession

Ask God for __Forgiveness__________.

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight…” (Psalm 51:1-4a)

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me. (Psalm 51:10-11)
